I absolutely love my Pergola. Took about 8 hours over 2 days to do this with some help from friends.
Only thing I’d recommend is putting the instructions for the screens and or any attachments clearly up front not in a separate install guide. I took out all the tracks/ pieces (so I thought) but then realized there was 1 more and now it’s hard to get out, in order to install my screen.
But the videos and instructions for most part clear and it’s incredibly sturdy!
We purchased the free standing 10x10 Sundream to provide shade and privacy on our south facing deck. There were a few frustrating incidences along the way with tracking shipping , a missing box and then some missing parts. The customer response from Pergolux customer service was outstanding. Box was traced, parts were shipped overnight by UPS and follow up was wonderful. Installation took 7 hrs with 2 guys and , with the help they got helping them through a couple tricky areas from customer support, the pergola is up, better than we ever imagined and is superior in quality . We absolutely love it and the support we got from Pergolux. I submitted earlier reviews that weren’t 5 star but have to say that after completion I’m completely satisfied with this investment . 5 star plus!
Buying was very intimidating. However, the build was simple enough for myself and one other to get it done. The quality, appearance, and structure is beyond words. It can’t look any more beautiful in my backyard. It was the missing item. Every single person that comes over asks where did I get it and how much was it. I know it sucks to buy, but there will be no regrets. The customer service is second to none. Thank you Pergolux for this amazing product that my family and I will enjoy for a lifetime time.
Our pergolas has changed the way we live at our lake house in Wisconsin. Although we spend a lot of time in the sunshine on the water, we were lacking a shady space to relax. The side benefit of NOT having to cover of patio furniture or take in the cushions when it rains is amazing. My 66 year old retired engineer husband pretty much assembled our two side-by-side 10x10 house-mounted pergolas by him self. He was in no rush, took his time and felt quite accomplished when finished. They are perfect! We did install a strip of heavy duty weather stripping when the pergola attaches to the house, the entire 20’ length, to stop the little bit of water dripping that happened when it rained. He also drilled a hole through and clamped the two pergolas tightly together at the middle front, where the 2 pergolas meet to close the tiny gap. The only thing we had to do (per instructions from Pergolux) to install side-by-side was cut the base plate so they would fit tight on the ground. Easy-breezy. The project is so amazing! We are thrilled with the quality, customer service and have recommended to many friends and neighbors.
Overall, very satisfied with the quality and service received and happy with the purchase. Here a few "hits and misses";
Hits:
Delivery - all boxes arrived undamaged and on time. shipper kept us up to date on delivery date and time.
Quality - parts were well packaged and protected, no scratches or blemishes.
Final Product - the pergola is very impressive once complete. the louvers work easily (manual crank) and close securely. Screens are very nice, the move easily up and down and lock into positions securely, very good at shading the sun. we bought the led light kit and it works well.
Customer service was very friendly and helpful when we contacted them.
Misses:
Instructions - could be better, the illustrations were well done, the biggest problem was finding and identifying the parts that are needed. we received 17 boxes and most of them had shipping labels and stamps that covered the box number. so even though the box and part numbers are listed in the instructions it did not help. you had to open most of the boxes and hunt for what you need. I would suggest labeling the boxes on the side and ends in several places so the number doesn't get covered up and/or list the part numbers in the box in a separate envelope attached to the box.
Include up to date instructions with the shipment. I downloaded the instructions from the website and printed them, after starting the assembly we noticed some things didn't match up - I called customer service and they looked up the order number and e-mailed the correct instruction pdf for our purchase. a current manual and or cd, or link to the correct instructions should be included with the shipment.
The app was difficult to use - assembling the pergola in the hot & bright sun of Arizona makes looking at your phone difficult - I wish manufactures would realize that sometimes the phone and the cloud isn't the best solution.
aside from these minor "misses" Pergolux overall is a great product!!
We just got our pergola installed a week ago and are already using it all the time. It has withstood some severe storms and winds and keeps everything dry underneath. It has a luxurious feel and look to it too. The only issue was that we wish we knew you could only wall mount from the long side before we ordered, as now we will need to extend our patio further out. If you want the long side perpendicular to the house, you would need 2 smaller pergolas: one wall-mounted and one free standing. Also, keep in mind that if the top of your window/door trim is more than 91" from the bottom, you will need concrete pillars at the base of the columns to raise them and this also costs extra for installation (and to make look prettier afterward). We got ours installed through ETI installation and despite some hiccups can't imagine having done it ourselves or by anyone who wasn't familiar with Pergolux products.
Its a game changer for my backyard. We absolutely love it and its so well made. Cannot wait to add upgrades!!!
I was able to complete this project from unboxing to heater installation mostly on my own with help from 3-4 others during the main structure assembly and final placement. The delivery was great and they walked each large box to my backyard deck. I ran into a damaged part but the team was able to resolve it. I think it would have taken a weekend or two but the damaged part put a hold on the entire project. Really nice black finish and stout structure.
We love our 10x13 Pergola!! We Added 3 screens, heater, gas firepit, and speakers,
And can now enjoy the outdoors all the time.
It's beautiful. I think of it as modern art object installation.
The assembly instructions were a bit difficult to follow, but for the most part it was manageable. Caps to co er the bolt heads of the bolts securing each post to the concrete base would be a nice touch.
The team just finished installing it looks great. Excited for the sunny weather. Happy I went with the white roof to give a little more light to the space when closed
Setting up the pergola with my son wasn’t very difficult and the reward after it was done is awesome, have already had so many compliments on the pergola, thank you so much Pergolux.
Works like a dream in all weather. Did not leak during recent rain storm. Customer service was excellent - pre and post purchase.
We got several bids to install an outside Pergola. They were huge, think 75k, without install for 13 x 19. I did all the research on pricing and product and ended here. Everything was as promised as we had a great experience. With the money saved we installed stone around the fireplace, got a golf simulator and we are in heaven.
Pergolux has definitely become one of my favorite brands when it comes to pergola. The attention to detail is wonderful and it's extremely durable and handle the elements.
Easy to put up with hardest part was standing and connecting the frame together rest of assembly was a breeze very happy with the finished product and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pergola
This offseason we upgraded our backyard patio with the help of Pergolux! The Pergolux Skydance S2 is the perfect addition to any outdoor space - it’s modern, luxurious, and extremely durable. Plus, with its integrated, dimmable LED lights and smart-controlled roof, I have the ability to fully customize the space to fit my needs. Installation was simple, and I love how all of the functions can be controlled via the smart remote. I also opted for a retractable S2 screen which offers height-adjustable sun and privacy protection. If any of my friends ask me about how to elevate their outdoor space, I always tell them to check out Pergolux!
Installing this screen was pretty straight forward. It is reasonably heavy so would recommend three people to do the job. It is so long that the aluminum housing deforms just a bit toward the center. It is easy to move up and down. The spring tension is not quite enough on one end to go fully up but it is within about 1/4". I will probably just file a catch slot on that end that the built in spring catch can fall into to hold it fully up. Does a great job of shading us from the afternoon sun which hits our Pergolux Sundance full on. The screen looks very nice when extended.
We recently purchased a Pergola S2 from Pergolux, including accessories (ZIP roller and LED). We are very satisfied with the quality of the product. The assembly of the S2 is straightforward with the PDF description and video and can be done in 3.5 hours. The only downside was that the LED stripes were not included in the delivery. After contacting customer service, the missing LEDs will be delivered in the next few days. The pergola gives a high-quality overall impression and is highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the delivery time was much longer than advertised. The assembly was sometimes a bit complicated.
Pre-assembled parts were sometimes misleading and made access to screws difficult.
For the frame, you need at least 3 people, and for attaching the slats later, 2. I took more than 8 hours, not a craftsman.
